Performers!

Stage fright, nerves or stress costing you gigs?

Do you feel held back by memories of an unsuccessful show, tournament or work situation?

Determined to break out of career limbo?

If you can relate, read on. . .

Whether you’re an actor, athlete or workplace powerpoint presentation-er, your work and career relies on being able to feel calm and confident in front of an audience.

I blend my background as an actor, martial artist and EFT Performance Coach to help you work through blocks and performance stress so you can get back to doing what you love with ease and flow.

What’s the cost of this stuckness?

You weren’t born with these blocks. Often something has happened in the past that created a limiting belief or somatic stuckness. It could be a heckle or a harsh review, a line fluff or injury at the worst possible moment. It could even be something you’ve completely forgotten about, now disguised as jaw tension, anxiety or perfectionism. Whatever it is, it’s holding you back, not just in your career but maybe in other areas of your life too.

What would being free of it give you?

As an actor and martial artist myself, I know how easy it can be for something to disrupt that delicate balance of focus, presence and relaxation so crucial to what we do.

What would it be like to walk on stage, onto set, behind the mic, into the office, and know nothing is stopping you from giving your best performance?

Why work with me?

I’m an accredited EFT Practitioner, Performance Coach and Breathwork Trainer with a background as an actor, filmmaker and martial artist.

I use this experience to help you shape and take ownership of the stories you tell yourself and clear the blocks holding you back.

I know what it’s like to be stuck as a creative or performer and how life-changing it can be when you rediscover flow and fulfilment doing what you love. I’m passionate about helping you do the same.

One-to-one coaching

Every performer is unique and faces unique challenges. We all have our own stories and some serve us more than others. As a result, every session we have together will be based around what you bring in the moment. But in general, we'll work to identify what’s stopping you from getting to where you want to be, before exploring any past experiences that may have created obstacles. Once we’ve cleared the path, it’ll be easier for you to set the course that gets back to flowing and enjoying what you do.

A mind-body method for performers and performance

The performer’s journey is exciting but can also be energetically demanding as you experience a whole gamut of emotions. One minute you could be working alone, the next you’re on tour competing or performing to a huge audience of people, and then suddenly it’s over. It’s as if you’re back to the drawing board. Performers will be used to training for their craft and putting their heart and soul into their work, but we’re not always as prepared for the highs and lows of the industry or day-to-day life.

Whilst there’s no doubt mindset is key to navigating the high-pressured, unpredictable rollercoaster of emotions performers routinely experience, it’s only part of the story. Blocks are often stored in the body, as well as in our thoughts, and when you’re relying on your body, either to tell a story or to get you through an event, a holistic approach is key.

This is why EFT can be so effective for performers; it calms and clears whilst helping you cultivate resilience and focus.

How does it work?

What is EFT?

In this video, Josh explains the basics of EFT and gives examples of what to say when tapping for self-care or emotional first aid.

Please note that there are two main applications for EFT. One is for general self-care, as demonstrated in the video. The other, known as ‘clinical EFT’, involves clients working with a certified practitioner, either online or in person so they can work directly on whatever is coming up for them.

Although the former can give rapid relief and create powerful results for people, EFT works best when we get specific, especially for things that feel hard to shift on your own and you’d like to go deeper to figure things out.
